04 May Real Estate Sales Will Depend On Mobile Marketing Efforts
Mobile marketing clearly translates to real estate sales, and it’s not just stats that is telling us this. It’s been over a year since the January 2011 cover of Entrepreneur Magazine boldly stated “The Future of Money Is Mobile”.
Today, that statement is still true, real estate sales plus mobile marketing is important to your future as a real estate agent.
Mobile users are slowly taking over the web traffic for our websites, idx searches and more.
Trulia Goes Mobile Too
Many well known real estate companies are beginning to realize the power of mobile as they slowly begin to take the leap into real estate sales and mobile marketing. Trulia has introduced Mobile Ads, stating in their real estate blog:
“House hunters are increasingly turning to mobile devices to search for their next place to live – on Trulia we’ve seen mobile traffic grow by 250% in the past year alone and mobile now accounts for more than 30% of Trulia’s weekend search traffic as buyers drive through neighborhoods and visit open homes.”
Trulia also stated, “Our research has shown that buyers searching for homes on mobile devices are 60% more likely to contact an agent than buyers who are searching on traditional devices.”
Mobile Stats Say It All
Mobile stats leave many with open mouths as they contemplate how to tap into a mobile audience. Many have wondered the validity of mobile stats. Are they overrated? Who is gathering the real estate data? Are these numbers important for my targeted audience?
However, we challenge you to find ANY client that does not have a mobile phone. That’s why real estate sales and mobile marketing is so powerful!
Wouldn’t it be amazing to develop a mobile app that pushes new listings to your clients on the fly and give them ability to, with a push of a button, notify that they want a showing and schedule one immediately? Or to be able to text message your past clients information about keeping their home in tip top condition, while you wait for their referral business?
Who Cares About Stats?
You should. Ask yourself:
- What”s the most important number next to your social security number?
- What object do you care on you at all times, even more than your wallet?
- What would happen to your business without a mobile phone?
- Now think about your client and answer the above questions while pretending you are them.
